Cottage. Original 3 bays late C18 (shown on 1792 Ordnance
Survey map) with further 2 bays added to north-east in mid
C19. Stone rubble with brick dressings and thatched roof.
South-east elevation has on left-hand side, 2 casements, then
off-central projecting 2 storey porch with lancet on 1st floor
and quoined surround to ground floor. To the right of this is
another casement and a further one with gable above. C20 brick
glazed.and wooden conservatory. North-west elevation has mid
C19 slate roofed outshuts.
Interior has straight flight staircase with stick balusters
and squat baluster-shaped newel post. This house was the
residence of the crew of an excise cutter in the C18 and early
C19.
