Milestone. Possibly C18. Lias stone, painted; about 320mm wide and 180cm
thick 800mm high, with rounded top; incised lettering reads 'Chard 4/
Crewkerne 4'. On the historic Salisbury Exeter Road, This section was
turnpiked by the Chard Trust in 1753.
