House, now shop and house. C16 or earlier with C19 facade.
Timber framed. Ground floor clad with painted brick, first
floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attics.
Right end of Sutton Dene projects forwards slightly, with
higher eaves and shallower roof pitch. Roof half-hipped to
right. Projecting C19 stack to left gable end, with front
elevation returned to it. Brick stack in rear slope of roof
towards right end and at right end. 2 flat-roofed and one
hipped dormer, all towards right end. Irregular fenestration
of five 3-light casements; 4 evenly-spaced to main range and
one to projecting bay. C19 shop front to centre of main range
incorporating half-glazed door flanked by scrolled brackets
and canted 4-light bay windows with wooden frieze over.
Panelled door to Sutton Dene up 2 steps at right end of main
range. Rear wing to left with half-hipped roof and multiple
brick ridge stack. Interior not inspected. but said to have
crown-post roof.
