Memorial. Late C18, for George Simon Harcourt. Limestone. Greek-Revival style.
Pedimented casket with acroteria and claw feet; stands on tall pedestal with
moulded plinth and entablature. Commemorates William Mason, the poet-gardener
who helped create the gardens at Nuneham Courtenay. Moved from the park at
Nuneham Courtenay after the Harcourts returned to Harcourt House (q.v.) in 1948.
