House. Mid C16, remodelled and refronted in early C19. Originally timber-framed.
English bond grey brick with red brick quoins and dressings; gabled roof with
old tiles to left, C20 tiles to right; brick left end and rear stacks. 2-unit
plan. 2-storeys; 2-window range. C20 flat brick arches over C20 door and
casements. Interior: timber-framed transverse central partition. Roll-moulded
beam to right; early C19 fireplace with carved overmantle and flanking china
closets to left; chamfered bressumer over open fireplace to rear right. 2-bay
queen-post roof with butt purlins and curved windbraces. Nos.28 and 30 to right:
2-storey, 2-window range with C20 shop front, and casements and carriage area
with timber framing to right. Interior: 2-bay queen-post roof with butt purlins
and curved windbraces.
