House, 1636 on datestone. Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and some
marlstone-ashlar dressings; Welsh-slate roof with rebuilt rubble-and-brick gable
stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys plus attic. Regular 3-window front has
first-floor casements of 3, 3 and 2 lights, plus ground floor casements of 4 and
3 lights flanking the central doorway, which has a flat canopy on shaped
brackets; all window lintels have broad chamfers with stops, but only one window
(at first floor) retains its ovolo-moulded trade. Right gable wall, facing road,
has aligned casements of 4, 3 and 2 lights plus an ornamental datestone
inscribed "1636 NK"; both gables have parapets with projecting marlstone
kneelers. Interior not inspected.
