10/42 The Paddocks

House. C18. Ironstone faced with ashlar. Welsh slate roof. 2 stone stacks
at ends. Double span, M-shaped roof. 2 storeys plus attic. 3 bays. 16-pane
sashes on both ground and first floor. Central entrance has wooden triangular
pedimented porch with Ionic columns. Moulded band between ground and first
floor. Interior not inspected. Reputed to be C19. History: Recorded as
being the Homestall of Anthony Lampett up to 1836, when on his death in the
same year the house became the property of John Wheeler, who rebuilt the house.
