Garden walls, attached outbuildings and railings, early C19. Brick in
English garden wall bond (5 and I), with sandstone dressings; slate roofs;
cast-iron railings. Trapezoidal walled garden with railings on south
overlapping returns. Tall wall with flat stone coping terminating in
square piers; taller section of each side wall holds vertical-panelled
door; similar doors flank site of greenhouse at centre of heated north wall.
Spearhead rails on dwarf stone wall with large stone trough at centre. To
rear of north wall, central pent outbuilding with boarded door flanked by
Yorkshire sashes with blacksmith's windows and C20 double doors to left. To
each side 2 gabled furnace houses with boarded double doors; coped gables with
moulded kneelers and stone finials. Inside each a pair of round-arched
furnace openings; walls between have 3 tiers of stone slab covers to heating
ducts, each with iron ring.
