Castle Hills House

(Formerly listed as: PAXTON ROAD, Castle Hills Maternity Home)

Gothic revival. 2 storeys, castellated, Centre glazed door on 1st floor
(high basement below main 2 storeys), up double flight of steps with iron
railing. 2 windows at each side of door, and 3 above. A verandah covers
this main floor and basement, on tall slender iron columns with iron
spandrels in a Chinese pattern, and a similar elaborate balcony and
verandah are attached to the top floor. At each end of the house is a
4-storeyed square tower, with sashes and roundels, with some Gothic tracery.
