Fakenham Road lodges to Raynham Hall with piers and carriage and pedestrian
gates. Dated 1825. Pebble flint with gault brick dressings and slated roofs.
Neo-classical. 2 detached lodges with 2 storey returns. Gables to road with
single arched sash window with glazing bars lighting 2 storeys, set in gault
brick arch framed by rusticated quoins, keystones. Outer rusticated brick
pilasters supporting brick cornice with attic and pediment and stone console
brackets. Returns of 2 bays with one ground floor arched and 2 first floor
hinged casement windows with glazing bars. 6 panel doors. First floor plat-
bands and rusticated brick quoins. 4 detached rusticated brick piers with
pebble font panels and stone copings. Cast iron pedestrian and double carriage
gates. Central piers with cast iron lamp brackets. Beyond the lodges 3 bay
curved screen walls with rusticated piers, flint panels and stone copings.
