Barn Immediately North of The Cottage at Combe House Farm

Barn. Circa early C18. Weatherboarded timber frame on brick plinth with gable-ended roof clad in corrugated sheet steel. PLAN: 3-bay barn with central cart-entrance on west side. EXTERIOR: West side has central cart entrance with almost full-height plank double doors, and later double doors inserted on right. INTERIOR: 3-bay frame with jowled posts with straight braces to tie-beams. Queen-post trusses with clasped purlins. Common-rafter couples intact and with straight wind-braces. Wall-framing consists of posts, long straight tension-braces and studs.
