The Skyrack Public House

GV II

Public house. Early C19. Coursed gritstone rubble, ashlar
quoins, slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with a 4th bay set back
slightly on left. Quoins. Central panelled door with
rectangular overlight in plain surround; 4-pane sashes in
stone surrounds throughout. Banded end stacks.
INTERIOR: replanned and refitted late C20.
The name is a corruption of 'Shire Oak', a tree which stood
nearby until c1940.
