East Lodge, Royal Military Academy

GV II

Entrance lodge. 1862. Red brick with stucco and stone dressings, brick lateral stack and slate hipped roof Tudor Revival style. Single-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: single-storey; 4-window range. Rectangular block with lower 2-window bays to E and S sides, plinth with roll-top moulding, thin string and roll-top coping to crenellated parapet. Label moulds to stucco chamfered surrounds to mullion and transom windows. INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORY: a pair with the W lodge, and with the E gateway, part of the E entrance to the Royal Military Academy (qqv).
