Tomb of Sir Joseph Ayloffe Bt (d.1781). Portland stone chest with a Pennant stone ledger. The side and end panels enriched with traceried decoration; the ends have cusped quatrefoils and the sides cusped Y-tracery. The central panel on the south side has the surname AYLOFFE inscribed in large sideways letters.
HISTORY: Ayloffe was a leading member of the Society of Antiquaries and his monument reflects his interests and learning.
