Town house, now office. c1780, altered. Flemish bond brown
brick; grey slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. Painted stone plinth with vent to cellar;
3 replaced steps east, to replaced 5-panel door with top panel
glazed, in simplified repaired doorcase with overlight
expressed as a radial-bar fanlight; a moulded hood over. 2
replaced recessed sashes to each storey, all with painted
stone sills and wedge lintels; cast-iron rainwater pipe; west
ridge chimney.
The back has a rear wing to west with a large replaced 48-pane
sash to the stair in a round-arched opening in its west side;
the main block has a later C20 outshut, east, a replaced
small-pane tripartite window to the first storey, a flush
12-pane sash with bars removed from the lower leaf to the
second storey and a replaced flush 4-pane sash to the third
storey.
INTERIOR: most features are renewed, replaced in keeping;
basket archway to stairwell; arched alcove in rear room of
first storey; the front room of the second storey has a swag
frieze of plaster, the rear room a panelled window embrasure.
The cellar has stone steps, partly brick barrel-vaulted
ceilings and a sandstone party wall to No.92 Street (qv).
