Farmhouse. C15 main range with mid C16 addition to the south and
late C16 or early C17 service range to east. L shape plan.
Timber framed, part plastered, part roughcast rendered, red brick
casing to gable end of earliest part; pantiled roof. 2 storeys,
disused attic to south of main range. Various casement windows,
mostly C20; doorway at angle of the 2 ranges, in the position of
the cross passage of the original house: C19 4-panel door, the
upper 2 panels glazed, open porch; 2 internal stacks, one to each
range. The earliest part has a moulded and crenellated dais beam
and a similarly ornamented beam in the cross passage; the
original truss over the 2-bay open hall has been cut through to
form a passage; good octagonal crown post with moulded base and
cap.
