SU 94 NE ARTINGTON C.P. LITTLETON LANE

3/47 Little Cottage

Cottage. Early C17, extended greatly in C19 and C20. Timber-framed,
clad in galletted sandstone rubble with blue and red brick dressings.
Plain tiled roof extending in catslide to front left hand side. One
storey and attic under two gabled, diamond pane, leaded casement dormers.
Two cambered head three light windows on ground floor, former door to
centre of ground floor now a window. Ribbed offset end stack to right.
Single storey end extension projecting to front left with gabled dormer.
Right hand return front: door to rear in C20 penticed roof porch. C20
brick and tile hung wing at right angles to rear.

Interior: front range - stop chamfered ceiling frames and central spine
beam visible. Deep brick fireplace to end with wooden lintel.
