House. C17, possibly with older core. Timber framed below with red brick infill,
tile hung above in alternate bands of fishscale and plain pattern. Plain tiled
roof. Old entrance front now to rear; T-shaped plan with gabled wing to right.
Two storeys, and attic in gable with multiple stacks, corbelled and ribbed, to
junction of ranges. Rendered cove bellcast over ground floor and ironstone
galletting in mortar at eaves on pentice to left. One 3-light leaded casement
and two other casements to first floor, 5 windows below in irregular pattern.
Door to left, further door to right, on gable, under tiled drip hoods. Pentice to
right end. Rear - old entrance front:- Sandstone rubble plinth to centre, bell-
cast over ground floor. Gabled two storey porch to right of centre with one 3-
light window in first floor over doorway - now blocked off with window. Later C19
gabled extension to left corner.
Interior:- Original lobby entry. Stop-chamfered spine beams on scrolled corbels,
deep brick fireplace in ground floor rooms. Hall - old external wall preserved
with upright moulded jambs of oriel window on first floor, close studding below.
