4 houses, part of terrace. c1778, later alterations. Amber
brick, Nos 79-83 with red brick dressings; coped parapets,
No.81 with added slate mansard with dormers behind.
3 storeys and basement, 2 bays each. Steps up to round-headed
entrances; doors with cornice heads (continuing around jambs
to Nos 81 & 85) and fanlights (No.83 decorative, others
radial). Flat or slightly cambered gauged-brick arches to sash
windows with glazing bars, those in left-hand bays tripartite.
No.85 has flat, stucco surrounds to windows. Nos 79-85 have
1st-floor stucco sill band.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: cast-iron area railings with spearhead
finials.
