2 houses, c1830. Brick in Flemish bond with painted stucco to
basement and mansard roof of slate.
2 storeys and 3 windows each, the outer ranges being recessed.
One dormer each. The entrance of each reached up a short
flight of steps. It is flanked by quarter columns and has a
semicircular fanlight, the ornamental glazing gone. All
openings flat-arched except for segmental-arched basement
windows which have 3x3 sashes. First-floor windows with 6x6
sashes. Second-floor windows of similar design to No.187 only.
Casement windows to dormers. Party wall expressed above roof.
Heavy rectangular stack to party wall. Gauged brick lintels to
windows and soft brick to round entrance arches.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
