Terrace of 7 houses. Early C19. Yellow brick with parapets,
Nos 125 & 127 with stucco blocking courses; pitched slate roof
to No.117, slate mansard with dormers to No.125.
EXTERIOR: each house 3 storeys and stucco basement.
No.117: 3 bays. Round-headed ground-floor openings in
round-arched recesses resting on stucco basement plinth,
stucco band at spring. Attached 3/4 Tuscan columns and radial
fanlight to door with mutule cornice head. Flat, gauged-brick
arches to upper floors; 1st-floor sill band and cast-iron
balcony. Ground- and 2nd-floor sash windows with glazing bars,
1st-floor long casements.
Nos 119 & 121: 2 bays (door and 2 windows to ground floor).
Doors in stucco-lined recesses with cornice heads and radial
fanlights, paired in centre under canopy with cast-iron
columns and mutule cornice. Flat, gauged-brick arches to sash
windows with glazing bars on all floors.
Nos 123-129: 3 bays (plus 1-storey entrance extension to
No.129). Round-headed ground-floor openings in round-arched
recesses resting on basement plinth, stucco band at spring.
Door to No.123 with attached 3/4 Tuscan columns, plain cornice
head, radial fanlight; that to No.125 with pilaster jambs,
mutule cornice head and radial fanlight; that to No.127
(appears original) with plain jambs, mutule cornice head and
fanlight; that to No.129 with replaced brick jambs, cornice
head and decorative fanlight. All windows sashes, mostly with
glazing bars, those to upper floors with flat, gauged-brick
arches; 1st-floor sill band.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: all have cast-iron rails to door steps
and area railings.
