Hotel. 1889; foundation stone laid by Mrs A P Townsend of Chislehurst, Kent. Stucco; roof with low-pitched central gable and consoles under eaves and gable soffit. Deep plan. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; symmetrical3-window front with plinth, sill strings and end pilasters, rusticated to 1st floor. Original horned sashes with various glazing bar designs. 2nd floor has round-arched windows with keyed moulded hoods; 1st floor with moulded architraves, the central window with an eared architrave with segmental-arched hood and ground floor with segmental-arched openings, moulded eared architraves with vermiculated top panels to windows flanking a central pilastered doorway with consoles and brackets to moulded cornice of hood. INTERIOR not inspected. Included for group value.
