Verandah attached to row of shops. Probably early C20; altered
c1922-5. Cast-iron and glass. 6-bay colonnade; slender
cast-iron columns with decorated bases, annular ornament at
mid-level of shafts and crocket caps carrying moulded gutter
with open-work fringe, tall terminal finials; mono-pitched
glazed roof. Attached to the inner side of each of the end
columns is a circular pedestal on a foliated bracket carrying
a gilded figure of a child with a torch (that to the right
also with an oval C20 lamp). Nos 487-495 not included.
