House. Probably early C18, mostly rebuilt in late C18 or early
C19. White painted brick, thatched roof on 2 levels.
EXTERIOR: 2 very unequal bays on north-south axis; the left
(south) bay square and 2-storeyed, with a band and 2
tie-plates at first floor; doorway to the right with board
door, a 3-light sliding sash window at ground floor and a
chimney at the north gable (i.e. above the north bay).
Right-hand (north) bay much smaller and of one low storey,
with a 2-light casement window.
The south gable wall of the south bay has one 3-light sliding
sash at first floor; and the rear (west) wall has one very
small one-light window to the north bay, and sliding sash
windows of 3 and 2 lights at ground floor of the south bay.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms group with Churchtown Conservative Club (qv) approx. 5m
north-east, and with Nos 187 & 189, Cambridge Road to the
north-west (qv); with the latter it makes a significant
contribution to the centre of the village.
