House. Probably c1800; altered. White painted render probably
on brick, slate roof (probably replacing thatch). Single-depth
2-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey; 2-window range. Central gabled porch
flanked by 3-light casements. Raised gable copings; gable
chimney to right (shared with No.74 adjoining that end). No.78
adjoins to left (qv).
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms part of group of similar houses on this road, all
variously altered but representative of the pre-industrial
character of this area.
