Barn. Early C17 timber-framed barn, extended to east mid C18 in brick; pantile roof.
PLAN: 3-stead threshing barn with mid C18 north outshut.
EXTERIOR: brick plinth. Weatherboarded timber frame. South double doors blocked. Brick east bay with honeycomb ventilation panels and loading doorway into later east extension. North outshut of English bond brick, with central double timber doors.
INTERIOR: jowled principal studs with arched braces to central pair of tie beams and to the west gable-end tie beam. Principal rafters, 2 tiers of butt purlins, arched windbraces and collars. Lower frame with middle rail and south carriage entrance blocked with mid C18 timber frame. North entrance under sloping lintels meeting at a point. North outshut with simple purlin roof.
Forms a group with Old Hall Farmhouse (qv), Barn approx.90 metres south east of Old Hall Farmhouse (qv), Church of St.Mary (qv) and Remains of Church of St.Martin (qv).
