GV II

Two barns and outbuilding. Earliest barn to south early C17 with alterations to walls in C18 and reroofing between 1840 and 1860. Attached barn to north of early to mid C19 date and outbuilding to north east South barn was a timberframed threshing barn of three bays with south aisle and outshuts at each end. The lowest part of the stonework is the original plinth but the higher part is an C18 replacement of the timberframed walls. Upper part of the walls is of brickwork and there is a tiled roof with half-hipped ends, the street end having two C19 continuous casements and cross-shaped iron ties. Internally most of the early C17 upright jowled posts, tiebeams and eight curved braces survive. The structure was reroofed and extended in the early to mid C19. At this time a brick barn in Flemish bond with tiled roof was added to the north and a north eastern one storey outbuilding of stone rubble with tiled roof added.
