Terraced house, now offices. Early to mid C19, restored since
1990. Stucco. Roof parapeted.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and attic over basement. 3-window range;
4-window range to return. Main elevation has full-height
canted bay. Ground floor treated as banded, chamfered
rustication which continues along the return. All windows are
flat arched with projecting sills except for those on the
first floor which are segmental arched. First-floor balcony
supported on cast-iron brackets and enclosed by cast-iron
railings. There are cast-iron flower guards of mid to late C19
to the ground-floor windows of the bay only. Entablature with
projecting cornice separates the second floor from the attic
storey; sills of attic windows level with the upper fascia of
this cornice. Smaller cornice to attic. The entablature and
upper cornice continue across the return, where there is
flat-arched entrance with overlight, set in an aedicule
consisting of a pair of Tuscan pilasters and entablature. To
the left of this aedicule a segmental bay with tripartite
windows. The third- and 4th-window ranges on the return are
blocked. Sashes of original design to the attic-bay windows:
3/6 to centre and 1/2 to sides which have margin lights; to
the right of this one window with 3/6 sashes of an original
design. Stacks to return and rear walls.
