GV II

War memorial to the men of the Royal Sussex Regiment who fell
in the South African war. c1905. Stucco and, presumably,
bronze, now lacquered. Tall pedestal, square in plan and
treated in the manner of an entablature and pediment at the
top, surmounted by a figure of a regimental trumpeter, with
shell cases at the 4 corners.
