Public house, though perhaps not originally built as such.
Early C19 with alterations. Stucco, roof obscured by parapet.
3 storeys over basement, 2 windows to Regency Square, 6 in
passage to Russell Square. Ground floor has a pub front of C19
date, set back behind C20 iron columns, though the end towards
Regency Square has been altered; 4 entrances and 2 windows of
C19 date, the entrances flanked by pilasters with stepped
capitals, and the windows having panelled spandrels; both
windows have glazing bars probably of C19 date. The upper
floors have flat-arched windows with architraves now much
reworked which link each first-floor window with that above;
all windows have sashes of original design except for the
right-hand, first-floor window in Regency Square; decorative
stucco panels between first-floor windows in Regency Square;
cornice; high panelled parapet.
INTERIOR: no interior features of C19 date.
