Description

BRIGHTON

TQ3309 STANMER PARK
577-1/9/1109 Store shed
02/03/81

GV II

Formerly known as: Bothies STANMER PARK.
Shed. C19, altered. Of coursed brick and flint construction
with brick dressings, apart from the western quarter of its
length which is of flint with some breeze-block, and
weatherboarding to the western gable end; roof of tiles.
One storey. 4 inner bays are open on the northern side, the
roof carried on timber posts. The construction suggests that
the shed originally had 5 central open bays of which the
westernmost has been closed; and that the bay beyond that has
been rebuilt. One window in north wall; new window in the west
end; C20 stack at north-east corner.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
The shed has some group value with the stables (qv) nearby.
