Formerly known as: No.15 Ashton House, Presbytery to Roman
Catholic Church of St Peter GEORGE STREET.
Presbytery, now doctors' surgery. 1828 with later additions
and alterations including extension to rear. Probably by John
Russell and Mr Mitchell. Pinkish-brown brick with painted
stucco facades and Welsh slate roof.
Main range of 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows with recessed,
single-storey entrance range to right. Plinth.
Side entrance: 2 steps to 4-panel, part-glazed door, surround
has Doric pilasters, frieze, pediment.
Main range: ground floor has 2 tripartite windows, central 6/6
sashes between 2/2 sashes, plain reveals, sills. First floor
has two 6/6 sashes, sills, plain reveals. Wide eaves. Side
stacks, that to right with cornice.
INTERIOR: openwell staircase with turned balusters and
octagonal newel posts. Inner side doorway has elaborate
panelled door between pilaster strips with blocked sidelights,
all under elliptical fanlight with glazing bars.
Entrance range forms a continuous design with Leamington
Mission (qv).
