Terrace of 3 houses, now flats and attached railings. Numbered
right to left, described left to right. c1831 with later
additions and alterations including mid-C20 attic dormers.
Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco front facade and Welsh
slate roof, with cast-iron balcony and railings.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with attics and basements, 6 first-floor
windows arranged 2:2:2.
First floor: tall 6/9 sashes with plain reveals and moulded
surrounds, frieze and cornice.
Second floor: 3/6 sashes with plain reveals and sills. Double
frieze, cornice, blocking course.
Ground floor: horizontal rustication. Flights of steps to
right side entrances, part-glazed and 3-panel doors with
overlights with glazing-bars, within fielded pilaster
surrounds with frieze. Two 6/6 sashes with margin-lights and
one 2/2 sash, reveals, sills.
Basement: to left an 8/8 sash, otherwise glazed doors and
casement windows. Tall ridge stacks. First floor has
continuous balcony with heart-and-anthemion motif.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings to sides of steps have
decorative spear-head finials.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Leam Terrace was laid out 1828-1836, both
sides to Willes Road were almost completely built by 1841.
Forms an architectural group with Nos 30-42 (even) (qv).
