Former vicarage to St Mary's Church (qv), now house.
c1838-1850 with later additions and alterations.
Pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond, Welsh slate roof with
ashlar and cast-iron verandah. Central hallway plan.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Quoins. 6 roll-edged steps
to central entrance a 6-panel door between pilaster strips and
side-lights, frieze, overlight with glazing bars. 2 bay
windows have plate-glass fixed lights. First floor: 1/1 sashes
with margin-lights, sills, flat rusticated arches with raised
keystones. Frieze, dentil cornice, blocking course. Tall end
stacks with cornices. Ground floor has continuous verandah
with scroll-motif to posts.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms an architectural group with Nos 17A and 17 (qqv).
