Houses. Late C18 or early C19. Stucco scored to imitate
ashlaring. Hipped roof of tile. 2 storey with a 4-window range
across the whole group. Late C20 shop fronts to the ground
floor; first-floor windows of the same date; all are flat
arched. Guttered eaves.
These buildings form a most important sequence with Nos 1-12,
22-32, 39-41, and 43-53 Meeting House Lane (qv), which is the
centre of the section of the Old Town known as The Lanes.
