Shown on OS map as Timber Cottage.
House. C17 with later alterations. Timber-frame with painted
brick infill on partly rendered stone plinth; steeply pitched
renewed tile roof with large brick stack to rear of ridge.
2-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey plus attic; 2-window range. Ground
floor has square window in blocked former entrance to left
end, blocked 2-light windows and wall letter box to left of
centre; tall window with shutter and small-paned glazing, and
small square light to right of centre; 2 gabled dormers have
casements, that to left with leaded glazing and crown glass.
3-panel-high square framing, altered to left end. Right return
has high plinth, window to each floor and plastered gable
head.
Rear has brick wall incorporating part of wall post with
narrow strip of framing to top; entrance to right end with
6-fielded-panel door; 2 ground-floor windows, one
segmental-headed to left end; gabled dormer to right end.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
