House. Possibly C16, altered C18 and C20. Timber-frame with
rendered brick cladding; thatch roof with brick axial stack.
PLAN: 2 units survive of 3-unit cruck-trussed plan; north unit
rebuilt, and now part of adjoining house to right.
EXTERIOR: single storey with attic; 2-window range.
Segmental-headed entrance to left end has C20 half-glazed
door. Ground floor has 2 segmental-headed windows with C19
2-light small-paned casements; first floor has eyebrow dormers
with similar smaller casements. Return has C20 casement window
to each floor. Rear has C20 kitchen extension and large
4-light French window; part of cruck blade is exposed.
INTERIOR: 2 rooms, now divided by large stack with
back-to-back fireplaces; full cruck truss, apex not visible,
with halved tie beam, spur tie and blocking piece; large
purlins and wind braces; right-hand room has been re-roofed,
possibly in C18.
