House. Main part with datestone inscribed: C /W A/ 1699
(William and Alice Cleeve); earlier C17 wing to right; later
alterations. Brick and timber-frame on stone plinths; steeply
pitched old tile roofs with brick end stacks. L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 6-window range plus gabled wing to right.
Brick plat band over ground floor and later top modillioned
brick cornice. Entrance to left of centre has doorcase with
pilasters and bracketed open pediment-hood; fanlight with
decorative glazing bars over 6-panel door (2 panels glazed).
Windows have tile sills, and rubbed brick flat arches with key
blocks over pegged small-paned cross-casements, but 2 windows
to left of entrance have 6/6 sashes in wide frames, the
windows above having lower sills; window to ground-floor right
end has later bay window with small-paned glazing.
Rear single-storey gabled wing with attic.
Timber-framed wing to right has square framing with braces;
ground floor has 2 windows with pegged small-paned casements
with iron opening casements, similar window to first floor.
Rear has C19 addition with segmental-headed window and end
stack.
