Farmhouse now incorporating former cow shed and coach house
with stables. C16/C17 to left part with later additions and
alterations including C19 barn to right and c1986 conversion
and addition to far right.
Small timber-framing with arch braces to left part with
pinkish-brown brick nogging, otherwise brick, with plain-tile
roof. L-shaped on plan with further ranges to right and range
to rear, off-centre right.
EXTERIOR: single storey with attics, 3 attic windows
altogether arranged 1:2 to left part; right part of 2 storeys,
one first-floor window. Earliest (left) part has entrance in
projecting wing: plank door in moulded wood frame under
cambered arch, flanked by 2-light wood casements. Above is a
gabled attic dormer with casement.
Main range, earliest part: 3 wood casements to ground floor, 2
gabled attic dormers with casements above. To right (former
coach house and stables), entrance has a plank door with
overlight between 2- and 3-light casements, all under cambered
arches. First floor has 4-light casement. Gabled roofs.
INTERIOR: extensive timber-framing to left part, chamfered
beams, inglenook fireplace to centre with bressumer beam and
adjacent staircase. To right end of earlier range a
close-studded wall on stone plinth. First floor has exposed
wall plate and rafters. Cow shed to rear has exposed 3-bay
coupled rafter roof.
