Chest tomb. C. 1763. Portland stone. Moulded base; fluted angle pilasters flanking recessed panels; moulded ledge below pyramidal cover. Inscription panels, oval at sides, circular at ends, have worn lettering commemmorating, on south side, Barbara Banks, relict of George Banks of Salisbury; and, on north side, her son, George Banks, Mason late of this Hamlet / Who by strict Integrity and Merit / in his Profession gained general Esteem' (d. 1779), this panel surounded by masonic symbols.

A good-quality mid-C18 chest tomb.
