GV II

House. Late C17 or C18 origins with extensive early C19
alterations and early C20 alterations (rainwater heads dated
1691 and 1761). Brick with roughcast facade; gabled Welsh
slate roof with red ridge tiles, projecting brick end stack
and large stack to rear; tile roof to left with brick lateral
stack. 3-unit plan plus wing to left end.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Top dentilled brick
cornice carried over central gable. Entrance to right of
centre, up 4 stone steps, has overlight with glazing bars to
C20 door. Large canted bay window to right of entrance; a
window with tripartite casement to left of entrance and a tall
narrow light to left end, all with early C20 leaded glazing.
First floor has window to centre and to left end with C20
cross-casements and a similar window to to right which is
higher, under gablet with bargeboards. Central gable has
blocked Diocletian window.
3 rainwater heads, one to left end with relief foliage
decoration; 2 to right end dated.
Wing has top modillioned brick cornice. Window with tripartite
casement (replacing C20 garage entrance) to left end, tall
narrow light, and narrow horizontal light to right end with
window with cross-casement above, all with leaded glazing.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
