Stables, now animal pens and offices. Probably 1837 with later
alterations. Reddish-brown brick with gabled plain-tile roofs,
partly renewed. L-shaped on plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey; 13 narrow bays arranged 8:5. Narrow
pilasters between each bay. 3 entrances, 2 split plank doors,
1 part-glazed door, all under elliptical arches; 2- and
3-light C20 casement windows, one to right part under
elliptical arch in former entrance. Further blocked entrance
to left part with elliptical arch. Cogged eaves.
INTERIOR: left range has variant of truncated collar and
tie-beam truss with queen struts and lower angle braces; one
tier of purlins and original rafters. Wall adjoining threshing
barn (qv) abuts stables to west.
All the listed buildings at Leasowes Farm form a group.
