Field barn and cow sheds. Probably early C18 with late C20
restorations. Timber-framed barn with brick nogging and
reddish-brown brick cow sheds, with gabled plain-tile roofs,
renewed in part. L-shaped group, 3-bay barn with 4-bay cow
shed to rear.
EXTERIOR: barn: small square panels of timber-framing with
tension braces; off-centre entrance with remains of plank
doors; opening with plank cover to left; diamond-shaped
breathers. Outshut to rear at right under catslide roof.
Cow sheds: to rear have 3 brick piers to front.
INTERIOR: barn: cross-frames to threshing floor, original
collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts and lower angle
struts, clasped purlins to left and collar and tie-beam truss
with lower angle struts and clasped principals to right; 2
tiers of trenched purlins.
Cow sheds: has 2 pegged tie-beam trusses with angle struts and
clasped principals, trenched purlins, original ridge piece,
rafters and wind braces, all of roughly-hewn timbers.
