GV II

House. Late C16/early C17, in 2 stages of build with single
cell to left and later additions and alterations. Small
timber-framing with arched braces and painted plaster infill
and gabled plain-tile roofs with brick stacks. Altogether a
3-unit plan arranged 1:2 with lobby entrance.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Off-centre right entrance
has timber-framed porch with hipped roof and plank door with
rails and strap hinges. Ground floor has 5 C20 windows. First
floor has 2 renewed casements and a 2-light wood casement.
Catslide roof to rear.
INTERIOR: has inglenook fireplace with bressumer beam to
centre room, remains of inglenook behind this to right room.
Plank doors, chamfered beams. Winder staircase. Exposed wall
plate.
Believed to have been used as a hunting lodge.
