Former public house, now house. C18 with C19 additions.
Painted limestone rubble with sandstone quoins; steeply
pitched hipped and gabled plain tile roof, partly renewed,
with brick end stacks. L-plan.
EXTERIOR: main part: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Entrance to
right of centre has renewed door and moulded wood doorcase;
C20 rustic porch. Entrance is flanked by canted bay windows
with 1:3:1-light small-paned casements under cornices and
hipped roofs; segmental-headed window to left end has 3-light
small-paned casement; 1st floor has windows with 3-light
small-paned casements. Former sign bracket to right end has
scrolled wrought-iron support. Addition to right: rubble with
brick end wall.
Single storey plus attic; single-window range. Ground floor
has window with timber lintel over 3-light small-paned
casement; C20 half-dormer to attic.
Right return has renewed windows and stack to gable wall.
Left return has lateral stack; one window with horizontally
sliding sash over small-paned light, 3-light casement to 1st
floor.
