Coursed blue lias rubble with brick dressings; thatched and
tile roofs with brick end and cross-axial stacks. 3-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey plus attic; 3-window range. Tile roof
to left end, No.171, which has entrance and ground-floor
windows under cambered stone arches, C20 small-paned casement
and half-glazed door; No.172 has central entrance with C20
hipped canopy and door flanked by one 2-light window either
side under brick segmental heads and with C20 metal casements;
first floor has 3 late C19 gabled dormers with tile roofs and
C20 casements; blocked first-floor opening to left of centre.
Gabled roofs.
Right return has entrance with plank door and small
first-floor window.
INTERIOR: No.171 noted as having chamfered beams, fireplace
with bressumer and wide-boarded cupboards to left with strap
hinges.
