House, formerly posting house called The Sun Inn until C19.
Late C16 or early C17 with C18 alterations. Painted timber
frame with painted brick infill panels, painted stone rubble.
Plain-tile roof with brick ridge stack. Rectangular plan of 4
framed bays parallel to street.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Street front with square-panelled timber
framing 3 panels high with extra panel for probable raised
eaves, to main 3 bays. Lower extension bay to left remains 3
panels high. Various wood casements, projecting entrance
porch. Stone rubble left return gable. Lean-to extensions
cover the rear ground floor.
