Farmhouse, now house. C17. Painted timber frame with painted
rendered and painted brick infill panels, stone rubble with
ashlar dressings. Plain-tile roofs. Projecting tiled stepped
stone stack with ashlar dressings and later brick shaft, 2
integral gable-end stacks with brick shafts. T-shaped on plan
of main range and cross wing, with lower range to east
parallel to main range.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, and single storey and attic. Street front
(west) with main range to right. Square framing 3 panels high
at first storey with leaded casements over stone rubble ground
floor with plain boarded door. Painted stone rubble rebuilt
gable-end to right return, square-framed to rear. Cross wing
gable-end to left: square framing with casements at each
storey covered by projecting tiled weatherings with hipped
returns to the side.
Cross wing front (north): square framing 4 panels high with
brick underbuilt plinth, casements at each storey, C19 boarded
central front entrance door covered by bracketed hood with
added tiled lean-to canopy, projecting stone stack to right.
To left is gable-end of parallel range: square framing 3
panels high with straight arched braces, gable truss of
cambered tie beam, vertical struts, collar and twin vertical
struts, casement at each storey. Square framing with arched
braces to return sides.
