GV II

Group of 5 headstones. Early to mid C18. Ashlar.
Dillow headstone to north-west: rectangular slab set
horizontally; 3 linked inscribed panels each surmounted by
linked raised ornamental carved panel with motif featuring
skull. Commemorates John Dillow d.1729, Elizabeth wife of John
Dillow d.1717, Elizabeth daughter of John Dillow, also Sam
Dillow d.1736.
Unknown headstone to south-west: rectangular slab set
vertically. Plain inscribed panel below raised ornament.
Segmental head. Dedication unknown, d.1794.
Taylor Memorial to north-east: headstone. 2 linked inscribed
panels each with segmental head. Commemorates Thomas Taylor
d.1728 and Elizabeth Taylor d.1724.
Chambers Memorial to east: headstone. 2 linked inscribed
panels with ornament over and carved head with pair of cherub
figureheads in centre. Commemorates Richard Chambers d.1761,
Hannah the wife of Richard Chambers d.1769.
Challoner Memorial to south-east: headstone. Inset inscribed
panel bordered with simple flower-head pattern with carved
half-round head with wheel decoration flanked by ornamented
cylinders. Commemorates Thomas Challoner d.1727.
