482-1/7/204 Barn, stables and cowhouses to
north-east of Manor Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, stable and cowhouses with hayloft over. C18. Coursed
stone rubble ground-floor walls and gable ends, with
weatherboarded timber-framed loft level. All ground-floor door
openings with brick segmental arched lintels. Plain-tile roof.
9-bay continuous range aligned east-west.
EXTERIOR: south front has 2 stable bays to east with pair of
stable doors in right bay and single in left. 4 cowhouse bays
in centre with lower wider doors with flanking vent slits in
each bay. 3 barn bays to west with barn door in middle bay.
Single opening per bay in the framing at loft level. Rear:
barn door opening infilled with concrete block. Ventilation
slits to loft and ground floor.
INTERIOR: 8 twin raking-strut internal trusses, all open
except for square framing dividing 3-bay barn from cowhouses.
Double trenched purlin roof with diagonally-set ridge.
